Welcome to the English Department of The State University of Surabaya. Our office is located at the Lidah Wetan Campus, the west side of Surabaya. We offer two programs, English Language Teaching, which prepares students to become professional teachers of English, and English Language and Literature, which is the best place for those who intend to pursue their career in various areas other than teaching, but that will greatly use English as the medium of communication. In addition to building a strong foundation for students’ English proficiency, we also teach courses in TEFL, Materials Development, Language Assessment, expository and creative writing, linguistics, literature, and the history and structure of English language and literature.
